Gators Renew In-State Rivalry with Florida State on Friday

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – No. 10 Florida volleyball takes a five-match winning streak to Florida State on Friday evening, as the in-state rivalry against the Seminoles will be renewed at 7 p.m. ET in Tully Gymnasium.
Friday's matchup will air live on the ACC Network with Sam Gore and Missy Whittemore on the call, while Tom Collett and Nick Cheronis will handle radio responsibilities on 98.1FM WRUF. The Gators (7-1, 0-0 SEC) are fresh off a pair of weekend victories over Florida Atlantic and Troy, and are off to their best start since a 9-1 mark in 2023.

- Alec Rothe sits at third in the UF record book for hitting percentage with a minimum 10 kills, hitting .909 against Troy (10-0-11). She holds the top hitting percentage in the nation with at least 10 attempts. She was also the first Gator to hit over .900 since Tangerine Wiggs hit .929, the record, on Oct. 26, 2012, against Mississippi State.
- Florida has established itself as one of the best defensive teams in the Southeastern Conference, leading the SEC in both opponent hitting percentage (.154) and blocks per set (2.75).
- The Gators posted their best offensive performance of the season against Troy, recording a .489 team hitting percentage, the top performance since hitting .494 against Alabama on Nov. 10, 2024.
- After battling injuries over the past two seasons, third-year Madi Gravlee made her return to the court against Troy, registering her first action since Nov. 23, 2023, and recording her first kill since Nov. 3, 2023.
