
Gators' 2019 Class Ranked No. 2 by Collegiate Baseball

Collegiate Baseball Newspaper released its 2019 recruiting rankings on Monday and the Florida Gators checked in at No. 2 nationally.
For the seventh year in a row, the Gators coaching staff has brought in a top-five recruiting class. Florida has had a top five class nine times in 12 years under head coach Kevin O'Sullivan.
UF's class ranked second behind Vanderbilt. The Southeastern Conference accounted for seven of the top 10 classes according to Collegiate Baseball.
The Gators incoming class includes 15 newcomers -- 13 freshmen and two transfers.
Four incoming freshmen were selected in the 2019 MLB Draft: right-hander Brandon Sproat (7th round), infielder Josh Rivera (22nd round), left-hander Hunter Barco (24th round) and right-hander Tyler Nesbit (32nd round).
