Gregory Named SEC Defensive Player of the Week

The senior libero averaged 4.75 digs per set over the course of four matches
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – After helping Florida finish the Gators Invitational with a perfect 3-0 record, Allie Gregory was honored by the SEC, as the league announced Monday.
The senior was named SEC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in her career.
Gregory averaged 4.75 digs over the course of four matches, including a career-high 24 against Louisiana on Sept. 21.
Gregory also recorded seven assists and a service ace against Louisiana.
Against the 23rd-ranked Seminoles, the senior finished with 12 digs and four assists, then followed that with a 10-dig, four-assists performance against Liberty.
Finally, Gregory recorded 11 digs, two assists and a service ace against the Lumberjacks of Northern Arizona.
Florida opens conference play on Friday against Auburn in Exactech Arena. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. on the SEC Network +.
