GAINESVILLE, Fla. – After posting a league leading 39.70 all-around total in Friday's season opener, Florida's
Trinity Thomas is the Southeastern Conference Gymnast of the Week, the league office announced this morning.

Thomas' total is just a fraction away from her collegiate best (39.75) and stands as the nation's No. 3 total of this young season. This is her fourth SEC Gymnast of the Week award as she claimed three as a freshman in 2019.

Thomas' All-Around Win:
- Won four event titles in Florida's season opening win versus preseason No. 19 Arkansas
- Claimed her seventh all-around win at 39.70 – which ranks as the nation's No. 3 all-around of the season.
- Won three apparatus titles – uneven bars (9.925), balance beam (9.975) and floor exercise (9.975) – to up collegiate event titles to 30.
- Current Road to National rankings – all-around (No. 2), uneven bars (No. 6), balance beam (No. 2) and floor exercise (No. 1).
- The two 9.975s raised her collegiate total of nearly perfect marks to 10.
- Only current member of U.S. Senior National Team also on a 2020 NCAA roster.
