GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the men's and women's All-Academic Teams for the 2019 NCAA Division I Cross Country season, as senior Jessica Pascoe collected All-Academic individual honors while both the UF men's and women's cross country teams were recognized once again as All-Academic Teams.
Pascoe, one of 166 women who were named All-Academic individuals, earned USTFCCCA All-Academic accolades for the second consecutive year after an exceptional senior season both on the course and in the classroom.
Student-athletes must have a 3.25 cumulative GPA and finish in the top 25 at an NCAA Regional Championship meet, or earn All-America honors at the NCAA Championships, in order to qualify for the individual award, as Pascoe collected a runner-up finish at the NCAA South Regional in Tallahassee on Nov. 15. The New South Wale, Australia native adds another nod to her lengthy list of accolades, as Jessica Pascoe's admirable senior season and career resume put hers amongst the likes of many Gator greats that have come through the Florida women's cross country program.
The men's and women's team logged grade point averages of 3.32 and 3.45 respectively, well above the required threshold of 3.0. The Florida women earned the award for an eighth consecutive year and 18th time in program history, while the men were recognized for a fifth straight year and 10th time in school history.
