GAINESVILLE, Fla - Fifty Gators were members of 22 rosters during Week 8 of the 2020 NFL season, highlighted by Lamical Perine's first professional touchdown on Sunday afternoon for the New York Jets.
Perine would string together a career day, hitting new highs in rushes (11), rushing yards (39) and receiving yards (16), in addition to his diving 5-yard rushing touchdown. Over his collegiate career, the 2020 fourth-round pick appeared in 50 games (22 starts) for the Gators, finishing with 2,485 rushing yards and 22 rushing touchdowns. Perine was also a threat in the passing game, reeling in 72 receptions for 674 yards and eight touchdowns from 2016-19.
On the defensive side, Keanu Neal tied a career-high in Atlanta's home matchup against the Lions, securing 11 tackles (10 solo). The former Gator made two of those stops for loss, including a sack.
At 6-0, Joe Haden and Maurkice Pouncey will head into next week's slate as members of the final undefeated team in the league after the Pittsburgh Steelers came away with a 27-24 victory in a battle of unbeatens in Nashville against the Tennessee Titans.
