
Gators-Bulldogs Set for Final Series of Fall

Florida welcomes Georgia to Exactech Arena for each team’s final series of the fall portion of the 2020 schedule

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The fifth-ranked Florida volleyball team (5-1, 5-1 SEC) closes out the fall portion of the 2020 schedule when Georgia (3-3, 3-3 SEC) comes to Exactech Arena for a two-match series beginning on Friday.
Friday's matchup is slated for 7 p.m. on the SEC with Courtney Lyle and Missy Whittemore on the call. The two squads then turn around for a 5 p.m. matchup on Saturday, airing on the SEC Network + with Tom Collett and Josh Crow on the call.
UF holds the 66-9 series advantage over the Bulldogs, including a 63-1 record under the helm of Mary Wise.
The 2020 SEC volleyball season will consist of an eight-match, conference-only schedule over six weeks of competition beginning Oct. 16 with each school competing against four opponents on back-to-back nights.
COVID 19 Fan Policies and Procedures
To comply with physical distancing requirements, Exactech Arena will host a limited percentage of its listed seating, putting the capacity at 2,200.
In accordance with campus guidelines, face coverings (over the nose and mouth) will be required for all fans throughout the entire game. This includes when fans are entering and exiting the arena. Fans may only remove face coverings while actively eating or drinking. Failure to comply with this important health guideline could result in loss of ticket privileges.

National Spotlight
- The Gators currently sit third in the nation in opponent hitting percentage (.144) and blocks per set (3.03)
- Florida also ranks fifth in nation in hitting percentage (.285), sits 14th in assists per set (12.40) and 19th in kills per set (13.15)
- Two Gators are ranked in the Top-10 in the nation in blocks per set, with freshman Nnedi Okammor sitting fifth with 1.47 blocks per set and junior Lauren Dooley sitting sixth with 1.45 blocks per set
- Holly Carlton sits 19th in the nation in hitting percentage with a .366 clip through the first six matches of the season
- T'ara Ceasar cracks the Top-25 nationally in two different categories: points per set (21st – 4.60) and kills per set (22nd – 3.90)
- Marlie Monserez currently sits 16th in the nation in assists per set, averaging 10.25
- The Gators swept the Georgia Bulldogs the last time the two teams faced off on Nov. 24, 2019 (25-13, 25-14, 25-13)
- As a team, Florida recorded 43 kills with just three errors on 78 swings for a .531 clip. Former Gator Rachael Kramer led the way with 14 kills, while Holly Carlton added 10 kills of her own. Paige Hammons and Thayer Hall both pitched in seven kills in the sweep
- Five Gators hit over .300 on the afternoon: Kramer (.700 | 14-0-20), Hammons (.700 | 7-0-10), Carlton (.600 | 10-1-15), Lauren Dooley (.375 | 4-1-8) and Hall (.300 | 7-1-20)
- Marlie Monserez dished out 32 assists on the afternoon, leading the team to a season-high .531 clip
- Former Gator Allie Gregory led the backcourt defense, recording eight digs on the afternoon. Monserez added seven, while Hall registered six digs in the match
- Florida recorded 11.0 blocks on the day, to Georgia's 0.0. Kramer led the way with five blocks, while Dooley and Hammons both added four on the afternoon
- UF registered six service aces, with former Gator Morgyn Greer leading the way with a career-high three
