Gators Return to Action with Weekend Series Against Troy

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Following the postponement of both its midweek games, the top-ranked Florida baseball team returns to action with a three-game series against Troy, which opens Friday night at McKethan Stadium. Friday's first pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
The Gators are off to their first 8-0 start in head coach Kevin O'Sullivan's 13 seasons. It is also the fifth such start in school history. The 1989 and 2002 Gators hold the school record for consecutive wins to open a season (11), while the 1956 Gators won their first 10 games, and the 1992 Gators won their first eight.
Florida entered the week among the nation's top offenses, with its 85 hits ranking tied for 10th nationally, and its 8.1 runs per game being tied for 22nd nationally.
Additionally, UF is ranked No. 1 by D1Baseball.com for the first time since May 21, 2018.
All three games this weekend will stream live on SEC Network+, via the ESPN app.
