Dahlstrom, a right-handed player from Sweden, set to join the Gators in the fall.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida women's tennis team announced Friday the signing of Sara Dahlstrom to a national letter of intent to attend Florida and compete with the Gators.
Dahlstrom will enroll for the fall semester of 2020 and become a member of the 2020-21 Gator team.
One of the top-rated juniors in all of Sweden, Dahlstrom rose to as high as No. 2 in the rankings and recently completed a successful season on the ITF circuit. Dahlstrom's play this fall impressed the Gator coaching staff as she defeated several strong competitors; she advanced to the quarterfinals at the ITF event, W15 Stockholm in October.
A right-handed hitter with a powerful forehand, Dahlstrom carries a UTR of 11.

"We are really excited to welcome Sara to the team. Not only is she one of the top-ranked juniors in Sweden, and has been for quite some time, she has a huge game with a big serve and lots of room to improve. After spending some time with her, it was clear that she was looking for a culture conducive to learning and development and the program we have in place here is a perfect match for that. We can't wait to get Sara on campus with the team and begin training."
