Former All-American basketball player joins Florida’s strength staff after four-year stint at FSU
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Natosha Gottlieb will join the Florida Gators strength staff as a strength and conditioning coordinator specializing in women's basketball and women's tennis.
"I'm so proud to be a Gator. I am super excited about the opportunity to be a part of a growing program with the potential for greatness like Florida women's basketball and one with the history of sustained success like UF women's tennis," Gottlieb said. "You can feel the energy and the enthusiasm to achieve success at the highest levels and I can't wait to be a part of that process. I'm excited to get started. Go Gators!"
The New Orleans native comes to the Swamp after spending four seasons at FSU. Gottlieb, who served as the associate director of strength and conditioning, trained women's cross country, volleyball and beach volleyball. During her tenure in Tallahassee, Gottlieb was a part of two conference title teams in beach volleyball and was on staff for back-to-back regional championship crowns in women's cross country.
Gottlieb, no stranger to the hardwood, was an All-American guard at Louisiana College where she scored over 1,000 points and appeared in over 100 games for the Wildcats. She achieved tremendous success on and off the court, garnering three ASC Academic Honor Roll designations and as a senior she earned the prestigious ASC Scholar Athlete Medal of Honor.
Gottlieb fills the post vacated by Justin McClelland who accepted a men's basketball position at Clemson earlier this summer.
Prior to her time in Tallahassee, Gottlieb worked at Embry-Riddle University in Daytona Beach and as an intern at LSU.
Gottlieb graduated in 2013 from Louisiana College with a degree in Athletic Training and in 2015 she obtained a master's degree in Exercise Physiology from LSU.
