Florida Kicks Off Spring Season at Ole Miss

The 10th-ranked volleyball team heads to Oxford, Miss. for the first series of the spring

Match Notes

OXFORD, Miss. – The 10th-ranked Florida volleyball team (6-2, 6-2 SEC) hits the road to take on the Ole Miss Rebels (0-6, 0-6 SEC) in a two-match series beginning Friday, signifying the start of the spring portion of the 2020-21 season.

Friday's first serve is slated for 3 p.m. ET on the SEC Network + and is airing on 98.1 FM/850 AM. The two squads turn right around on Saturday for another 3 p.m. ET start. The match will once again air on the SEC Network + and can be heard on 98.1 FM/850 AM.

UF holds the 52-3 record over the Rebels, including an undefeated 46-0 record under the helm of Mary Wise.

The spring portion of the 2020-21 SEC volleyball slate will consist of a 16-match, conference-only schedule. Those 16 matches will be played as two-match series, consisting of four home weekends and four away weekends.

Last Time Against Ole Miss

The Gators topped the Ole Miss Rebels in five sets on Nov. 8, 2019 in Oxford, Miss. (23-25, 25-15, 21-25, 25-14, 15-8)
Four Gators recorded double-digit kills in the match: Thayer Hall (23), former Gator Rachael Kramer (18), Holly Carlton (12) and Paige Hammons (11)
Marlie Monserez dished out a career-high 63 assists in the match. That career-high still holds
Former Gator Allie Gregory led the backcourt defense with 22 digs in the match
Hall (23 kills, 14 digs), Monserez (63 assists, 11 digs) and Hammons (11 kills, 11 digs) each recorded a double-double in the match
Florida recorded 17.0 blocks in the match, led by seven from Carlton. Hall added five, while Kramer, Lauren Dooley and Darrielle King each pitched in four blocks on the night
