After back-to-back third place finishes to start the fall, the Florida women's golf team heads to the Windy City Classic from Oct. 4-5.

LAST TIME OUT
The Gators recorded its second consecutive third place finish to start the season at the Mason Rudolph Championship last weekend. UF finished under par (-11) as a team again and best finish at the tournament.
Clara Manzalini placed T7 to lead Florida as she recorded her second tournament under par this fall. Maisie Filler concluded the final round achieving multiple career marks. The sophomore turned in career low 67 (-5) en route to her best tournament score at 212 (-4) and finish at T10. After one under on the front nine, she stayed perfect the rest of the way and birdied four of the last five.
TOURNAMENT HISTORY
The outing will mark the sixth appearance at the tournament as Florida last finished third in the fall of 2019 behind former Gator Sierra Brooks who ended 8-under at 208. For three straight seasons (2016-19), UF placed fourth overall at the Windy City Classic.
PRESEASON RANKINGS AND RECOGNITION
The Gators were selected in two preseason polls - #19 by the GolfChannel.com and #21 by the Women's Golf Coaches Association. Additionally Annabell Fuller was ranked as the No. 23 preseason player by GolfChanel.com and was selected to the ANNIKA Award Watch List for the second straight season.
Florida is currently ranked ninth in this week's GolfWeek.com rankings.
A SEASON AGO
The Gators qualified for their 21st consecutive and 26th overall NCAA Regional appearance and just missed the top-6 cut, finishing one stroke behind USC in 7th. A member of the SEC All-Freshman Team, Maisie Filler led the way with a T12 finish.
Outside of postseason play, Florida defended it's home course and claimed the sixth straight title at the Gators Invitational. Annabell Fuller turned in a career performance winning her first individual title behind her lowest round (66, -5) and tournament overall (202, -5). Marina Escobar (T12), Clara Manzalini (T12) and Jenny Kim (T15) all placed in the Top-25.
NEW GATORS
Florida welcomed two newcomers ahead of the upcoming season in freshman Ester Fägersten and transfer Jackie Lucena. Fägersten Both Gators made their debuts at the Cougar Classic with Lucena shooting 216 (E) for T24 and Fagersten 219 (+1) for T36.
THE TURN:
UF is off for a few weeks and then concludes the fall season at The Ally at Old Waverly (Oct. 25-27).
