Filler’s Career Low Maintains Gators Second Place Position

Maisie Filler shot a career low 66 (-6) to sit in third in day two of The Ally.
WEST POINT, Miss. - Maisie Filler improved her career low again this fall with shooting a 66 (-6) in round two of The Ally as the Florida women's golf team maintained its second place position on Tuesday.
Florida trails Alabama (-13) by four strokes as they are five strokes ahead of Mississippi State who is in third at 4 under.
A member of the All-SEC Freshman Team last season, Filler began her round with three consecutive birdies as she finished the front nine 5-under with no bogeys. She improved her career low round after setting earlier this fall with a 67 at the Mason Rudolph Championship. Filler sits in third at 9-under only one stroke away behind second.
Two other Gators checked in the top-15. Jackie Lucena shot a 73 (+1) and Clara Manzalini a 74 (+2) to finish tied for 9th and 13th. Both are under par overall through the final fall tournament.
Marina Escobar (T36) and Annabell Fuller (T43) both concluded the UF lineup as Jenny Kim was right behind them at T47.
The Gators tee off the final round tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. ET.
