Garcia starts off the SEC Championship for the men
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Leonardo Garcia kicked off the Men's Championships for the Gators on the 1-meter spring board.
Garcia finished in seventh place with a score of 341.90. Anton Svirskyi finished in 23rd with a score of 274.25.
Diving Coach Bryan Gillooly
On his over thoughts on the team's performance today…
"Got off to a great start today for the men. This was Anton's first experience here and he shows tons of promise for the future. One meter is Leo's weakest event so to finish in 7th in the "A" final is excellent. We are looking forward to three-meter tomorrow."
What's Next
Garcia and Svirskyi will compete on the 3-meter springboard staring at 4 p.m. with the finals to follow at 8 p.m.
