
Florida Sends 14 Gators To Finals On Day Three Of The Championship

Talia Bates finishes first in the 200-free in the preliminary rounds
ATHENS, Ga. – The Gators started off strong this morning on the third day of the SEC Championships as we have two Gators in the A-final in the 400IM.
Vanessa Pearl and Kathleen Golding finished fourth and fifth in the prelims earning a spot in the A-final later tonight. Rosie Zavaros finished in 19th and earned her self a spot in the C-final.
In the 100-fly, Amanda Ray finished 15th in the prelims, picking up a spot in the B-final and Kenady Beil was behind Ray finishing in 23rd and earning a spot in the C-final.
Talia Bates came shooting out of a cannon on the blocks to win the 200-free prelims as she qualifies for the A-final. The Gators are loaded in the B-final as we have Nikki Miller, Katie Mack, Tylor Mathieu and Taylor Ault who all qualified.
In the 100-breast, Cecilia Porter finished third in the prelims and Adrianna DeBoer finished seventh, both of them earning a spot in the A-final.
To cap off the morning prelims, Katie Minnich finished 12th in the 100-back prelims, earning a spot in the B-final. Rosie Zavaros claims the last spot in the C-final after a 24th place finish in the 100-back

What's Next
Friday evening will begin at 6 p.m. ET with the women's 400IM. The remainder of the schedule is the 100-fly, 200-free, 100-breast, 100-back, and the 400-medley relay.
On the diving side, the finals for the women's platform will start at 7 p.m. followed by the men's 3-meter springboard final.
