
Florida Sends Nine To Finals On The Last Day Of The Championships

Pearl and Ray have top finishes in the prelims
ATHENS, Ga. – Vanessa Pearl and Amanda Ray are the top finishers for the Gators both having fourth place finishes in the prelims in their respective events.
Katie Minnich and Rosie Zavaros started things off for the Gators this morning in the 200-back, Minnich finishes 19th and Zaravos finishes 20th in the prelims earning their sports in the C-finals tonight.
Talia Bates was the fastest Gator in the 100-free as she finishes seventh in the prelim and grabbing a spot in the A-final. Katie Mack finished 10th in the prelims and will be swimming in the B-final.
Vanessa Pearl was one of the top finisher for the Gators this morning with a fourth place finish in the 200-breast with a time of 2:08.61 and is the only Gator in the finals for this event.
In the 200-fly, Amanda Ray finished fourth in the prelims and is the lone Gator in the A-final. In the B-final we have three Gators including Allison Piccirillo, Kenady Beil, and Nikki Miller looking to finish strong for Florida.

Saturday evening will begin at 4 p.m. ET with the women's 1650-free. The remainder of the schedule is the 200-back, the 100-free, the200-breast, the 200-fly, and the 400-free relay.
