
Florida Travels to FSU Winter XC Classic on Friday

Gators travel to Tallahassee for first meet of 2021
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida will travel to the FSU Winter XC Classic on Friday at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee with races beginning at 9 a.m. ET.
The men's team will run an 8,000-meter (8k) race at 9 a.m. ET followed by the women's 6k competition at 9:30 a.m. ET.
The Gators return to cross country action for the first time since Oct. 30 of 2020 at the SEC Championships as both teams will work to earn a bid to the NCAA Championships on March 15 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
The men's team will feature Nick Deal, Trevor Foley, Ethan Geiger, Reed Legg, Cade Monk, Angel Vicioso and Cavan Wilson while Imogen Barrett, Payton Capes-Davis, Emily Culley, Emily Jones, Stephanie Ormsby, Rylee Pustilnik and Parker Valby will compete for the women's team.

Health and Safety Protocols
The Leon County Division of Tourism provides a safe, welcoming environment for participants while adhering to the following mandatory participation requirement:
- Teams can bring one spectator per registered athlete. Everyone, including the spectator, must have a wristband to enter the facility which will be included in the team packet.
- Everyone is always required to wear a face covering at the facility, unless they are actively competing or have a chronic preexisting or demonstrable medical condition.
- Everyone entering the park will be health screened at the entrance.
- Spectators will park in the Spectator Parking Lot entering through the main (follow signage).
