Gators Travel to South Carolina for First SEC Road Test

The No. 5 Florida baseball team will face No. 25 South Carolina in a three-day set beginning Friday, March 26.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 5-ranked Florida baseball team (16-5, 3-0 SEC) will travel to Columbia, S.C. to face No. 25 South Carolina (13-6, 1-2 SEC) in its first Southeastern Conference road contest. The series is scheduled to begin on Friday, March 26 with the first pitch set for 7 p.m. ET. The game will be live-streamed and can be heard on ESPN 98.1 FM/850 AM WRUF.
The Gators lead 48-47 all-time against the Gamecocks. Their last competition was in 2019 when Florida claimed the series in Gainesville with 9-5 and 6-4 wins.
Last weekend, the Gators opened up conference play with a clean sweep of Texas A&M. Sophomore Jud Fabian claimed SEC Co-Player of the Week honors for his performance over the three-day set, recording five hits, including a double and two home runs, while also robbing the competition with an over-the-fence grab.
