Beata Olsson is SEC Offensive Soccer Player of the Week

Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors go to Gator freshman Beata Olsson after her second double-goal match of the spring.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Her double-goal match at North Florida earns Gator freshman Beata Olsson the Southeastern Conference Offensive Soccer Player of the Week award.

Other weekly SEC winners include South Carolina's Jyllissa Harris (Defensive) and Missouri's Madilyn Hamline (Freshman).

Quick Look at Olsson's Performance:
Olsson joined the Gator team this spring and already shares Florida's goal lead (5) with senior Parker Roberts. She is tied for second among the Gators with 10 points.

She provided both goals in Florida's 2-0 win on March 24 at previously unbeaten North Florida. The first goal came in the 75th minute when Madison Alexander used her outstretched foot to touch the ball forward to Olsson making a left side run. Olsson just beat the UNF goalkeeper to get the scoring touch from 10 yards.

In the 86th minute, freshman Maddy Rhodes' had options with Alexander and Olsson in the box. Alexander got a touch on Rhodes' cross and Olsson finished at the far post for her second double-goal match of the spring.
