
75 Gators Named to CSCAA Spring Scholar All-America team

Richmond, VA -- The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) have announced that the University of Florida men's and women's swimming and diving teams have earned Scholar All-America honors for their efforts in the classroom last semester. The teams earned the honor after posting GPAs of 3.31 and 3.4 respectively.
On the men's side, 39 Gators combined for a 3.31 GPA and on the women's side, 36 Gators combined for a 3.40 GPA
"Coach Anthony Nesty continues to set the standard for success both in the pool and the classroom," noted CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart. "These are some of the best ambassadors of Florida and Athletic Director Stricklin, President Fuchs, and Dr. Mike Sagas (Faculty Athletic Representative) can and should be proud of these 75 men & women."
In total, 721 programs from 426 institutions earned the honor. CSCAA will name its individual Scholar All-America team next week.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
