The Gators finished the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invite tied for 8th.
OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. - Giovanni Manzoni finished as the top individual at the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invite and the Gators ended tied for 8th overall.
Yuxin Lin concluded as the top finisher in the UF lineup at T20 followed by John DuBois in T32.
Rounding out the rest of the group, Joe Pagdin turned in his lowest round of the tournament (71) on the final day as he started with back-to-back birdies. Ricky Castillo placed T39 and Christophe Stutts T51. The Gators turned in their lowest round of the tournament at 286 (+6).
Florida resumes the fall slate at the Nike Collegiate from Oct. 4-5 in Fort Worth, Texas.

It's the perfect tournament to play early in the year because this golf course going to expose your weaknesses. It's very demanding and the scores reflected that. We did some good things this week like limiting our big numbers, but we absolutely learned where we need to improve."
I thought each of our guys showed spurts of good golf, but none of them are happy with their 54-hole performances. We have to find a way to get some Gators contenting for the individual title."
"Coach (Dudley) Hart and I learned a ton about our squad and will spend the next two weeks preparing them for Colonial. We are going to push them and they are going to get better."
