Florida welcomes the Bulldogs to Exactech Arena for a two-match series beginning Thursday

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The 17th-ranked Florida volleyball team kicks off conference play with a two-match series against the Mississippi State Bulldogs beginning on Thursday.
Both Thursday and Friday's first serves are slated for 7 p.m., with Thursday's match being aired on SECN+ and Friday's match slated to air on the SEC Network. Thursday's match can be heard on FloridaGators.com/watch, while Friday's match can be found on the airways of ESPN 98.1 FM/850 AM.
The Gators are coming off back-to-back sweeps of Costal Carolina this past weekend, while the Bulldogs finished their nonconference slate with a 2-1 record in the Hail State Invitational.
Florida holds the 52-0 record over Mississippi State, including a 43-0 record under Mary Wise. The Gators are 24-0 against the Bulldogs in Gainesville, Fla.

- Thursday's match giveaway will be 1200 Gators cloth face masks presented by UF Health

- The Gators swept Mississippi State in the last meeting, winning 25-18, 25-15, 25-21 on Nov. 11, 2019 in Starkville, Miss.
- UF's offensive attack was led by Thayer Hall, who notched 12 kills on the afternoon. Former Gator Paige Hammons and current senior Lauren Dooley both pitched in 10 kills on the afternoon, while Gator alum Rachael Kramer added eight kills
- Five Gators hit over .300 on the afternoon: Dooley (.833 | 10-0-12), Kramer (.583 | 8-1-12), Marlie Monserez (.571 | 4-0-7), Carlton (.500 | 5-1-8) and Hammons (.308 | 10-2-26)
- Marlie Monserez dished out 41 assists on the afternoon, leading the Gators to a .398 clip in the match
- The backcourt defense was anchored by Gator alum Allie Gregory, who posted 14 digs on the afternoon. Hall added 11 and Monserez pitched in eight digs of her own
- Florida's serving was a strong suit against the Bulldogs, with four different former Gators racking up service aces: Paige Hammons (2), Riley Fischer (2), Chanelle Hargreaves (2) and Allie Gregory (1)
