Florida to Send Select Group to Jarvis Scott Open
Thursday, February 17, 2022 | Track and Field
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - To close out the regular season, Florida will give one final tune-up to sprinters Semira Killebrew, Joseph Fahnbulleh and Cameron Miller as well as hurdler Caleb Foster as the group searches for NCAA-qualifying marks this weekend at the Jarvis Scott Open on the campus of Texas Tech.
Fahnbulleh is making his season debut after a year in which he captured the 2021 NCAA Outdoor Title in the 200 meters and finished 5th in the Olympics in the 200 meters. This weekend he will run in both the 60 meters and 200 meters. Miller will also run the 200 meters.
Killebrew makes her return to the track this weekend for the first time since the Bob Pollock Meet. She tied her career-best in the 60 meters on January 28th with a time of 7.19. That mark is currently tied for 6th in the NCAA this season.
The Gators will send Foster into the 60-meter hurdles.
This marks the last regular season races for Florida in the 2022 Indoor Season. Following this weekend, the 2nd-ranked women's team and 9th-ranked men's team will both send squads to the SEC Indoor Championships on February 25th and 26th in College Station, Texas.
The 2022 Indoor Season concludes with the NCAA Indoor Championships on March 11th and 12th in Birmingham, Ala.
