Gators Crack Top 25 For First Time Since 2016

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The UF women's basketball team's recent run of success has the Gators back in the AP Top 25.
Florida (17-6) returned to the AP Poll on Monday, jumping to No. 19 following Sunday's 54-51 win at then-No. 14 Georgia. The Gators are ranked for the first time since December 2016.
Under the direction of interim head coach Kelly Rae Finley, the Gators are having their best season in years. They have defeated five ranked opponents, including four in their past five games.
Florida is one of five Southeastern Conference teams ranked in this week's poll behind No. 1 South Carolina, No. 13 Tennessee, No. 14 LSU and No. 17 Georgia. The Gators have defeated LSU, Tennessee and Georgia over the past two weeks.
