Trinity Thomas is SEC Specialist Gymnast of the Week

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Another 10.0 – this time on vault – earned Gator senior Trinity Thomas her fourth Southeastern Conference Specialist Gymnast of the Week honor. She shared this week's honor with Auburn's Derrian Gobourne.

This is Thomas' fourth SEC Specialist of the Week honor of 2022. Last week, she was the SEC Gymnast of the Week after her nation's leading all-around (39.85) performance versus Oklahoma. Two other Gators earned SEC Specialist of Week honors this season – Alyssa Baumann (Week 1) and Nya Reed (Week 6).

Other Week 9 recipients are Sunisa Lee, Auburn (Gymnast of the Week) and Sophia Groth, Auburn (Freshman of the Week).

Upped Florida's career total to 14 perfect marks for career.
Nation's leader with six 10.0s in 2022 (3 floor, 2 vault, 1 beam)
Leads Florida with 21 event titles. Win Friday moved her into a tie with Bridget Sloan for Gators Career Event wins record (95)
In March 7 Road to National rankings, No. 3 vault (9.95 NQS) and beam (9.970) and No. T5 bars (9.935)
