GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Southeastern Conference announced its postseason awards on Wednesday and the Gators took home both Female Diver of the Year and Men's Swimming Coach of the Year, as well as 10 All-SEC First Team honors, five All-SEC Second Team honors and seven All-Freshman Team accolades.
Maha Amer earned the title of Co-Female Diver of the Year, alongside Kyndal Knight (Kentucky) and Brooke Schultz (South Carolina) after her stellar performances at the SEC Championships. She finished fourth on the 3-meter springboard, sixth on the platform and 10th in the 1-meter event. This is the first major SEC award of Amer's career.
Head Coach Anthony Nesty earned his third-straight SEC Men's Coach of the Year title, the first Florida coach in program history to earn the honor in each of their first three seasons at the helm. He took home Coach of the Year accolades after leading the team to their 10th-straight SEC Championship.
10 Gator men earned spots on the All-SEC First Team: Amro Al-Wir, Adam Chaney, Trey Freeman, Eric Friese, Dillon Hillis, Oskar Lindholm, Macguire McDuff, Alberto Mestre, Alfonso Mestre and Kieran Smith. The First Team consists of the top finisher in each event at the SEC Championships.
