BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Jasmine Moore (Women's Field Athlete of the Year) and Mike Holloway (Women's Coach of the Year) were named among the SEC's best during the outdoor season, the conference announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Moore continued her dominant 2022 campaign with a sweep of the Long Jump and Triple Jump titles at the SEC Outdoor Championships. She has won every postseason event she has contested so far this season including four SEC titles in the horizontal jumps.
Her success earned her the title of SEC Outdoor Women's Field Athlete of the Year, giving her the honor in both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
Moore's collection of honors this season now includes the SEC Indoor Women's Field Athlete of the Year, SEC Outdoor Women's Field Athlete of the Year, USTFCCCA Indoor South Region Women's Field Athlete of the Year and the USTFCCCA Indoor National Women's Field Athlete of the Year.
She has also won weekly honors from the SEC and USTFCCCA and been named to every edition of The Bowerman Women's Watch List.
Moore is qualified to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the Long Jump and Triple Jump and has the chance to make history in Eugene.
No woman in NCAA history has ever gone 8-for-8 on titles (four conference, four national) in the horizontal jumps in the same calendar year. Moore has six of the titles so far.
Holloway earned SEC Outdoor Women's Coach of the Year honor for the third time in his career (2009, 2018) following Florida's team title at the SEC Outdoor Championships.
The Gators tallied 107 points, winning the team title over Arkansas and LSU behind clutch performances in a number of events.
Florida won four event titles on the women's side with gold medals in the Heptathlon (Sterling Lester), 800 meters (Imogen Barrett), Long Jump (Moore) and Triple Jump (Moore).
This was the third SEC Women's Outdoor Championship for Holloway since becoming head coach of the program.
The Gators now turn their focus to next week's NCAA Outdoor Championships where Moore and the rest of Florida have the chance to make team and individual history in Eugene.
