Dedric Dukes Named to 2026 UF Athletics Hall of Fame Class

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – In the long line of great sprinters to come through Florida's men's track and field program, another is poised to etch his name into history, as Dedric Dukes has been named to the 2026 UF Athletic Hall of Fame class.
A five-time NCAA champion, Dukes won multiple titles in both the 4x100-meter and 4x400-meter relays, along with an individual title in the 200-meter dash in 2014. Over his career, he earned 16 All-American honors, the third-most in Florida men's track and field history. That total includes 12 outdoor All-American honors, which matches Grant Holloway's mark of 12 for the most in school history.
He was a member of three national championship teams, claiming the 2012 indoor and outdoor titles, as well as the 2013 outdoor title. Dukes had a standout year in 2014, finishing the season as a Bowerman Award semifinalist after capturing individual titles in the outdoor 200-meter dash and the 4x100-meter relay, in addition to earning First Team All-American honors for runner-up finishes in the outdoor 4x400-meter relay and indoor 200-meter dash.
When Dukes concluded his career with the Gators, he was a member of three school-record relay teams, held the second-fastest times in school history in both the indoor and outdoor 200-meter dash (20.34 and 19.97), and ranked No. 9 in school history in the 100-meter dash (10.18).
Dukes will be honored with the 2026 class at the Hall of Fame Banquet on Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, ahead of the home football game against South Carolina. Joining him in the class are Vernon Hargreaves (football), Vernon Maxwell (men's basketball), Mikey Meagher (lacrosse), Andrew Moten (men's basketball), Logan Shore (baseball), Bridget Sloan (gymnastics) and Kelsey Stewart (softball).
