Leah Clapper & Megan Skaggs Named 2022 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gator gymnasts Leah Clapper and Megan Skaggs are College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-Americans for the second consecutive season.
Skaggs appears on CoSIDA Academic All-America At-Large first team for the second straight year. Clapper is on the 2022 CoSIDA second team.
Today's announcement brings Florida's 2022 total of CoSIDA Academic All-Americans to three as Charla Echols was named to softball's team earlier this month. Since 1984, nine Gator gymnasts earned 14 CoSIDA Academic All-America honors.

- Anchored balance beam lineup with a 9.975 to take second versus Arkansas
- 9.95 in season opener shared beam win with Sloane Blakely. Used same score to share win versus LSU
- Shared second in NCAA Auburn Regional final beam standings (9.95)
- Gator Gymnastics' Graduate Scholar-Athlete of the Year
- Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll
- SEC Academic Honor Roll
- Named the 2022 Scholar-Athlete of the Year at the INFLCR NIL Summit
Skaggs in 2022:
- Joined teammate Trinity Thomas as only gymnasts with five All-America honors in NCAA competition. Third overall in NCAA Championships' all-around.
- All-America all-around first-team in the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) regular-season awards
- Shared second in SEC Championships all-around (39.65). Equaled collegiate-best of 9.95 to tie for second in SEC uneven bars and balance beam final standings. Third consecutive All-SEC honor.
- Set or matched collegiate best for every event in 2022 – all-around (39.725) and 9.95 for each apparatus
- First or second in seven all-around appearances, with a 39.60 or better in last five meets
- Gator Gymnastics' Most Consistent (58 for 58 routines)
- SEC Academic Honor Roll
- Graduated April 2022 with master's degree in Entrepreneurship
- Received the 2022 Athlete Advocate of the Year Award at the INFLCR NIL Summit
