
Poulter Named SEC Freshman of the Week

Luke Poulter finished a career-best T11 at the Williams Cup.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Florida men's golfer Luke Poulter was named the SEC Freshman of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday.
In his third straight start, he turned in a team-best and career-best T11 finish at the Williams Cup this week. The field featured Arizona State, Auburn and North Carolina.
The redshirt-freshman shot a 54-hole score of 218 (+2) as he averaged 2.92 on par-3s and 4.83 on par-4s. Over the three rounds he made 36 pars and eight birdies. Poulter shot a final round of 2-under 70 that featured a bogey-free back nine.
Florida is back in action this weekend at the Georgetown Intercollegiate from Oct. 15-16.
