Florida women's basketball team faces its first ranked opponent of the season – No. 12 Florida State – Friday to open a home double-header with the Seminoles.
Friday's game closes a four-game season-opening homestand versus in-state rivals for the Gators. Florida is 3-0 this season with wins versus North Florida (82-65), Bethune-Cookman (83-69) and Florida A&M (92-54).

NON-CONFERENCE DOMINANCE
Florida is currently in the midst of a 25-game home winning streak versus non-conference competition – the second-longest streak in school history. The Gators last non-conference defeat at Exactech Arena was on Nov. 26, 2019, when Florida State took a 66-55 win.
SERIES RECORD:
Florida leads all-time series 42-34, including a 20-11 advantage in home games.
FSU won 92-77 in the last meeting between the in-state rivals (Nov. 16, 2022 in Tallahassee).

Florida State brings a 2-0 record into its first road game of the season. The Seminoles are coming off a 92-91 win versus then No. 11 Tennessee on Nov. 9. The win elevated FSU to No. 12 in the latest Associated Press rankings as the team were No. 18 in preseason rankings.
