No. 11 Florida Set to Host Stetson for Midweek Action

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The 11th-ranked Florida softball team steps out of conference play for a single midweek contest at 6 p.m. against Stetson Wednesday, March 29, at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium on SEC Network+.
The Gators (24-7) and the Hatters (18-15) squared-off one week ago in DeLand, Fla. with the Orange and Blue prevailing, 4-1, behind Lexie Delbrey's complete-game one-hitter. Offensively, UF produced eight total hits with Reagan Walsh and Kaila Pollard notching a pair of two-RBI base hits in the effort.
Florida enters this week after a 1-2 weekend against Arkansas in Fayetteville. The Razorbacks took the first game of the series 6-2 and the last game 14-1 (5 innings), with UF earning an 11-4 win during game two of the series Saturday.
The Hatters come into the midweek matchup after 1-2 weekend at North Florida. Stetson dropped the first two games of the series, 5-1 & 5-2, before it closed out the series with a 1-0 win behind Hannah Marien's complete-game two-hit shutout.
Historically, UF holds the all-time series lead at 16-2 and have won the last six meetings between the two programs. In addition, the Orange & Blue is 13-0 when playing at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium against the Hatters.
Offensively, the Gators still boast one of the nation's most potent offenses as the unit ranks inside the top 10 nationally in batting average (.356 – 5th), on base percentage (.463 – 3rd), scoring (7.89 – 4th), slugging percentage (.590 – 6th) and walks (124 – 4th).
Individually, Skylar Wallace (.424) and Charla Echols (.417) lead the way with batting averages over .400, while Kendra Falby (.394), Avery Goelz (.346), Reagan Walsh (.338), Katie Kistler (.323) and Sam Roe (.317) are all batting over .300 on the year.
Echols paces the team with 42 RBI on the year, while Falby leads the team in hits and runs scored with 37 apiece.
Following the conclusion of tomorrow's game, Florida takes to the road once more for a Southeastern Conference series at South Carolina this Friday through Sunday. Friday and Sunday's games will stream on SEC Network +, while Saturday's contest will air on SEC Network.
