Florida's men’s golf totaled 11 selections to the SEC Academic Honor Rolls this season.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Florida men's golfers Parker Bell and Toby Bishop were named to the 2022-23 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll on Friday, the conference office announced.
The Gators previously tied the program record yesterday with nine selections to the SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll.
Today's announcement sets Florida's record at 402 for total of student-athletes named to a 2022-23 SEC Academic Honor Roll to 402. The previous record of 378 was set in 2020-21 and equaled last season. Florida placed 322 on SEC Academic Honor Rolls (113 on fall list; 72 winter, 137 on spring) and 80 on the First-Year Honor Roll.
To be recognized to the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll, each student-athlete must 1) have a GPA of 3.00 for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above at the nominating institution; 2) be on scholarship, a letterwinner; 3) have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial credit at the nominating institution; and 4) have been a member of the varsity team for the sport's entire NCAA Championship segment.
