A multi-sport athlete at Lexington Catholic High School, Mary Martin Hampton chose to extend her athletic career with Gator soccer.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida soccer adds speedy forward
Mary Martin Hampton to the 2023 Gator roster.
Â
The incoming freshman earned All-State soccer honors and was runner-up in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) 100-meter dash earlier this month to close her multi-sport career at Lexington Catholic High School.
Â
"I related a lot to Mary Martin as she's also someone who enjoyed playing multiple sports in high school. I think that will work to her benefit. She's clearly an impressive athlete with speed who will cause problems," Bohon said. "We're excited to work with her and see what she can do now that she's focusing exclusively on soccer."
Â
Hampton brings the number of freshman on the 2023 roster to 11. They add to the six transfers joining the Gators this fall.
