Five Gators on World Cup Rosters

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Five Gator alumna start 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup play next week in Australia and New Zealand.
The Canada roster includes a pair of Gators who were also part of the nation's 2019 World Cup and 2020 Olympic gold medal teams - Deanne Rose and Adriana Leon. This is Leon's third World Cup, as she made her World Cup debut in 2015.
Making her second World Cup appearance with Jamaica is Havana Solaun. In 2019, the Reggae Girlz became the first Caribbean team in history to advance to FIFA Women's World Cup play. Solaun goal's versus Australia on June 18, 2019 was the Jamaica's first-ever goal in a FIFA Women's World Cup.
Two Gators join their nations in World Cup debuts. Carina Baltrip-Reyes is part of Panama's roster. A 1-0 win over Paraguay on Feb. 22, 2023 earned Panama the 32nd and final team berth for the 2023 World Cup. Gator All-American Tahnai Annis is captain of the Philippines team, who earned its first World Cup berth by finishing in the final four of the 2022 Asian Cup.
The 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup begins in Australia and New Zealand Thursday, July 20, with the final set for Sunday, August 20 in Sydney, Australia.
