
16 Gators Invited to NCAA Men’s Championships

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Sixteen members of the No. 2 ranked Florida men's swimming team were invited to compete at the NCAA Championships in Indianapolis, Ind., the organization announced Wednesday.
The 2024 Championships will be held March 27-30 at the IU Natatorium on the campus Indiana University.
Peter Bretzmann, Eric Brown, Scotty Buff, Adam Chaney, Edouard Fullum-Huot, Joaquin Gonzalez Pinero, Mason Laur, Josh Liendo, Oskar Lindkolm, Giovanni Linscheer, Jonny Marshall, Macguire McDuff, Jake Mitchell, Aleksas Savickas, Julian Smith, and Andrew Taylor advanced to the national championships based on their season-best times in 37 different events.
Five Gator relay teams qualified as well: 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 800 free relay, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay. Florida heads to Indianapolis with the fastest time in the 200 free relay.
Florida has the third-most swimmers qualify, sitting behind Arizona State (17) and North Carolina State (18).
The Gators had 14 athletes earn 42 All-Americans, won four national championship titles and broke three NCAA relay records en route to a sixth-place finish at last year's NCAA championships.
2024 NCAA Qualifiers:
After NCAA Zones, diving invitations will be announced on Sunday, March 17 after the conclusion of all five-diving zone meets.
A total of 270 participants (235 swimmers and 35 divers) will compete in the championships. Swimmers qualified for the championships by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered. Divers will be determined by performances achieved at the Zone Diving Championships held March 10-16. The complete lists of all swimmers (athletes by institution, official psych sheet, relays and alternates) competing in the championships is available at usaswimming.org/ncaa. Selected divers will be announced Sunday, March 17.
ESPN+ will provide live digital coverage for preliminary and finals sessions Wednesday through Saturday. Tape-delayed coverage of the men's championships will be on ESPNU at 6 p.m. Eastern time, Tuesday, April 2.
