
No. 2 Florida Women Primed for NCAA Championships

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Sixteen Gator women from the No. 2 Florida's swimming & diving program make their way to Athens, Ga. to compete in the 2024 NCAA Championships.
The 2024 championships are set to take place March 20-23 at the Jack Bauerle Pool at Gabrielsen Natatorium, with Georgia serving as host institution.
Anna Auld, Catie Choate, Micayla Cronk, Zoe Dixon, Isabel Ivey, Lainy Kruger, Molly Mayne, Caroline Pennington, Olivia Peoples, Julia Podkoscielny, Josephine Ramey, Aris Runnels, Bella Sims and Emma Weyant advanced to the national championships based on their season-best times in 13 different events.
Carina Lumia and Camyla Monroy joined the group after qualifying in the NCAA Diving Zones early last week. Monroy, who won one gold and two silvers at the SEC Championships last month, will compete in all three events. Lumina will make her second NCAA appearance after qualifying in both springboards.
The Gators also qualified five relays, with the 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 800 free relay, 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay all hitting the qualifying standard.

- The complete lists of all swimmers (athletes by institution, official psych sheet, relays and alternates) competing in the championships is available at usaswimming.org/ncaa.
- A total of 322 participants (281 swimmers and 41 divers) will compete in the championships. Swimmers qualified for the championships by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered.
- ESPN+ will provide live digital coverage for preliminary and finals sessions Wednesday through Saturday.
- Tape-delayed coverage of the women's championships will be on ESPNU at 7 p.m. Eastern time, Wednesday, March 27.
- The No. 3 women's team had an historic championship run en route to their 19th conference title in school history and their first back-to-back championship title since 1996-97. The women tallied 25 top-ten times and shattered eight school records to finish with another program best's score of 1,391.5 at last month's SEC Swimming and Diving Championships
- Bella Sims earned the women's Commissioner's Trophy with the meet's high point total of 96.
- The Gators claimed 12 gold medals (eight individuals, four relays) and eight silver (seven individuals, one relay)
- On top of Florida's slashing of eight school records, they broke four SEC, four SEC Meet and four Auburn Pool records
- Bella Sims holds the top-spot in three individual events (200 back, 200 free, 500 free), while Isabel Ivey and Emma Weyant sit in the top-three in at least one of their individual events.
- Florida has the second-fastest 400 and 800 free relay times and remains in the top-five in the 200 free and 400 medley relay events.
- Six Gators have previous experience competing in the national championship stage, including Auld, Cronk, Dixon, Peoples, Runnels and Weyant.
- Before transferring to Florida, Ivey placed second in the 200 free (1:41.49), third in the 200 IM (1:53.02) and 13th in the 100 free (47.17) at the 2022 NCAA Championships with Cal Berkley.
