
Gator Diving Treks to Athens for Zone B Championships

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Ten divers from the No. 4/2 Florida men's and women's swimming and diving team
head to Athens, Ga. to embark on their quest to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
Chloe Bishop, Elisha Dees, Peyton Donald, Skip Donald, Conor Gesing, Casey Greenberg, Carina Lumia, Camyla Monroy, Caroline Pagac and Anton Svirskyi are set to compete at Gabrielsen Natatorium from March 10-13 in the Zone B region with Georgia serving as host.
Diving head Coach Bryan Gillooly's squad is coming off a record performance at the SEC Championships in February.
Gator Diving scored 226 of Florida's total points and had at least one diver advance to the championship final in all six events. Freshman duo of Conor Gesing and Ana Monroy made a combined five podium appearances after advancing to the A final in all three diving events. Monroy claimed first in the women's platform after scoring a 312.70 on the final night to take home her first gold after earning two silvers in the 1-meter and platform. For the first time since 1985, Gesing gave Florida its first gold medal in the 3-meter after scoring a career-high 425.75 and earned bronze in the 1-Meter with 371.30.
Skip Donald scored in all three events at SECs and made the finals on the 1-meter, while advancing to the B finals in the 3-meter and on platform. His brother Peyton Donald scored his best on the 3-meter to finish ninth overall.
