GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 25 Florida volleyball team (12-7, 7-3 SEC) continues its road slate, closing out October play against the Georgia Bulldogs (14-6, 6-4 SEC) on Friday, Oct. 31, in Athens, Ga. before opening November in Columbia, S.C. on Sunday, Nov. 2 against the South Carolina Gamecocks (8-13, 2-9 SEC).

- The Gators went 2-0 last week in conference play, defeating Oklahoma in four sets at home before sweeping Arkansas on the road.
- Florida currently sits fifth in the SEC standings and is back in the national rankings, checking in at No. 25 in the AVCA Week 9 Coaches Poll. The Gators
- In SEC play, the Gators rank fifth in kills per set (13.74) and fifth in assists per set (12.56), with Alexis Stucky standing third individually in league play at 10.30 assists per set. Florida also sits sixth in hitting percentage (.247), while Alec Rothe's .338 hitting clip in SEC play ranks 10th individually.
- Defensively, the Gators rank second in league play in digs per set (14.93) and is fourth in opponent hitting percentage (.213). Freshman libero Lily Hayes appears in the conference standings as well, ranking fifth individually with 3.95 digs per set.
- Outside hitter Jordyn Byrd was among 17 players added to the AVCA National Player of the Year Watchlist, presented by Nike Volleyball, joining the 30 nominees originally announced in August. The Sarasota native currently leads the Gators in kills (298) and points (318.5), while adding 37 blocks, having played only 18 matches in her collegiate career.
- Florida's middle blockers, Jaela Auguste and Rothe, have been dominant at the net throughout their sophomore campaigns, combining for 157 of Florida's 181 total blocks this season, with Auguste posting 82 and Rothe adding 75.
- Auguste also leads the Gators with a .339 hitting percentage and 22 aces, while ranking second overall in points (263.0) for the year.
- Florida has won seven of the last 10 meetings against Georgia, but in the teams' most recent matchup, the Gators were swept by the Bulldogs on the road.
- Now in his ninth season at the helm, Georgia head coach Tom Black has guided the Bulldogs to three NCAA Tournament berths and has his team sitting at 14-6 overall this year.
- The Bulldogs were picked to finish ninth in the SEC Preseason Coaches' Poll and currently hold a 6-4 record in league play, tied with Missouri and Auburn. A win on Friday would allow Georgia to pull even with Florida in the SEC standings, where the Gators currently sit fifth.
- Georgia's five-match winning streak came to an end on Sunday with a four-set loss at Missouri. The Bulldogs are 7-2 at home this season, including a 2-1 mark in conference play.
- Defensively, Georgia ranks fifth nationally and second in the SEC in blocks per set (1.99). Kendal Kemp leads the way, ranking eighth nationally in blocks per set (1.55) and 18th in total blocks (107), while also sitting third in the SEC. Tori Harper adds to the team's blocking strength, ranking seventh in the league.
- Offensively, Brianna Muoneke paces the Bulldogs, ranking 10th in the SEC in kills per set (4.03) and points per set (4.51).
- Florida has won six of the last ten meetings against South Carolina, but lost both matches against the Gamecocks in the 2024 season, falling in three at home before losing in five on the road.
- Sarah Rumley Noble is in her first season as head coach of the Gamecocks, having spent the past three seasons as the head coach at Appalachian State. In Noble's inaugural season, 12 new players joined the Gamecocks roster
- South Carolina was picked to finish 14th in the SEC Preseason Coaches' Poll and currently holds a 2-9 record in league play.
- In conference matches, libero Victoria Harris is ranked second in the SEC in digs, averaging 4.50 per set
- Emily Beeker, the Gamecocks leading blocker, sits sixth in SEC play with 1.28 blocks per set.
- Victoria Hill leads South Carolina in aces and ranks ninth in SEC play for aces per set (0.31).
- South Carolina's have tallied conference wins over Arkansas and Vanderbilt.
