
No. 8/6 Gators Host USF In Wednesday Midweek

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The No. 8/6 Florida softball team is set to host USF in its last regular-season midweek game on Wednesday at Katie Pressley Stadium.
First pitch is set for 6 p.m. on SEC Network+ with Kyle Crooks and Aleshia Ocasio on the call.
Ryan Urquhart and Sky Lebron will have the radio call on ESPN 98.1FM/850AM WRUF.
The Gators enter the matchup coming off a series win over No. 17/22 Alabama over the weekend at home.

- Taylor Shumaker earned her third SEC Freshman of the Week honor on Tuesday
- The freshman outfielder hit .500 in Florida's series win over Alabama, driving in a team-best seven runs with a pair of home runs
- Over the weekend, Shumaker recorded a pair of doubles and now holds the Florida freshman record for doubles (16) and RBI
- Kendra Falby ranks No. 1 in the nation in runs (59) and Shumaker ranks No. 4 (58)
- Falby ranks No. 3 in the NCAA in hits (73) and No. 1 in the SEC
- Shumaker ranks No. 4 in the NCAA in RBI (68)
- Despite pitching just two innings in the series against Alabama, Katelynn Oxley picked up both wins in the circle
- She allowed no hits in either of her appearances and tallied one strikeout
- As a team Florida ranks in the top-10 in the nation in hits (445), home runs (84), on-base percentage (.447), RBI (360), shutouts (13), scoring (7.80), total runs (382) and walks (217)
- The Gators are 6-0 at home this season against in-state compeition with five run-rule victories
- In 33 innings pitched at home against Florida opponent this season, the Gator pitching staff has allowed just two runs, one earned
