Florida Volleyball's Orange & Blue Scrimmage: What You Need to Know

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gator fans will have the chance to watch the No. 16 Florida volleyball team and first-year coach Ryan Theis make their unofficial 2025 debut at the Orange & Blue Scrimmage, set for Sunday, August 17 at 3 p.m. in the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.

When: Sunday, August 17 | Gates Open: 2 PM| Match Begins: 3 PM
Where: Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center
Admission is free, with gates opening at 2 p.m. The first 250 fans in attendance will receive a free autograph book, which can be signed by the Gators during a special post-match autograph session on the court following the informal intra-squad scrimmage. In addition, all fans will have the opportunity to Enter to Win two free season tickets for the 2025 Florida Volleyball season.

About the 2025 Gators:
- Ryan Theis enters his first season at the helm of Florida Volleyball, taking over for legendary Gators coach Mary Wise's historic 34 seasons. Joining Theis in Gainesville are Assistant Coaches Abby Gilleland and Ryan Walthall, who worked with Theis the last three seasons at Marquette.
- Florida's 17 player roster includes 12 returners and five newcomers (two transfers and three freshmen)
- All-American setter Alexis Stucky and reigning SEC Freshman of the Year Jaela Auguste return this season, along with a talented core that includes: Emily Canaan, Emerson Hoyle, Amaya Thomas, Kira Hutson, Madi Gravlee, Lauren Harden, Bella Lee, Taylor Parks, Alec Rothe and Ella Vogel.
- The Gators also welcome a pair of redshirt sophomores who are both outside hitters: Jordyn Byrd and Aniya Madkin. Byrd returns to her home state after spending two seasons at Texas, while Madkin joins the Gators following a two-year stint at the University of Arkansas.
- Florida's fresh faces include freshmen De'Andrea McMillian from Mansfield Texas, Tampa, Florida native Lily Hayes and Milica Vidacic from Serbia.
