Wednesday, February 25, 2026 | Women's Basketball
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The SEC announced today that Florida guard Laila Reynolds has been named to the conference's Women's Basketball Community Service Team.
The Prince George's County, Md. native has embraced the Gainesville community since her arrival three years ago, focusing primarily on children and education. From spending time at local elementary schools as part of their after school and lunch buddy programs, to working with Color Me Culture—"Where art meets community and good times happen!", to participating in camps at The Children's Trust of Alachua County and Limitless Adventures, to lending a hand with the Caring & Sharing Learning School's "STEM Camp," Reynolds is doing her part to ensure that the children of Alachua County have great role models to whom they can look up, and count on to be there for them during their formative years.
This marks the 28th year for the SEC Community Service Team for women's basketball as well as for men's basketball. All league-sponsored sports have had a Community Service Team since 2004, with at-large teams for men's and women's sports being chosen from 1999-2003. The SEC began this concept with a football Community Service Team in 1994.
