Kaitlyn Davies led the Gators with five points as Clark Hamilton and Boo DeWitt score four in Gatos win
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No 8/7 Florida Lacrosse Team (4-2) had 11 different players score as beat Mercer 23-9 at Donald R. Dizney Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Gators were led by Kaitlyn Davies who registered 5 points (3 G/2 A) and Hamilton Clark (4 G), Boo DeWitt (4 G), and Gabbi Koury (3 G/1 A) who each had four points.
Mercer was led by Caroline Glus and Sofia D'Angelo who each scored three goals and Ansley Walters who scored one and had one assist.

FIRST QUARTER (Gators 10, Bears 2)
- Mercer would open the scoring up with a Sofia D'Angelo goal off a Maya Maldonado pass the take a 1-0 lead with 14:11 left.
- The Gators would respond with goals by Boo DeWitt (11:54) and Gabbi Koury (11:21) 34 second apart, before Mercer tied it at 2-2 with a Josie Parett goal.
- The Gators would finish the final 8:12 of the first quarter with an 8-0 run with goals from Clark Hamilton (8:12, 6:37), Boo DeWitt (7:10, 0:26), Gabbi Koury (5:45), Ava Kristynik (3:21, 2:09), and Autumn Blair (1:15).
SECOND QUARTER (Gators 17, Bears 4)
- Mercer would respond to a Clark Hamilton goal at 14:12 with a goal from Ansley Walters at 13:27.
- Gabbi Koury (13:17) and Ava Tighe (12:44) would score less than a minute apart before Mercer responded with a Caroline Glus goal at 11:06.
- The Gators would control the final 10 minutes of the first half, scoring four goals from Kaitlyn Davies (9:46, 9:08), Boo DeWitt (5:04) and Clark Hamilton (00:43) to take a 18-4 lead into the half.
THIRD QUARTER (Gators 19, Bears 6)
- The third quarter would be the lowest scoring quarter of the day as the teams traded two goals apiece.
- Florida's goals would come from Kaitlyn Davies (14:37) and Molly Doran (10:59) as Mercer goals came from Caroline Glus (12:33) and Sofia D'Angelo (2:16)
FOURTH QUARTER (Gators 23, Bears 9)
- Mercer would respond to an Ava Tighe goal at 13:30 with three straight goals coming from Gabby Brisbin, Sofia D'Angelo, and Caroline Glus.
- The Orange and Blue would extend their lead in the final 4:22 of the game with goals from Caylin Luciano, Kennedy Richardson and Maureen Arendt.

- The Gators 17 first half goals are the most by the Gators in a first half since 2024, when they scored 17 in the first half in their 23-3 win against Liberty on March 27.
- The four hat tricks from Clark Hamilton, Boo DeWitt, Kaitlyn Davies and Gabbi Koury is the first time since the 2024 Loyola game where Clark Hamilton, Kaitlyn Davies, Frannie Hahn, and Gianna Monaco each recorded a hat trick.
- Maureen Arendt and Anna DiMartile made their Gator debuts today, as Sydney Wilson made her season debut for the Gators.
