No. 5 Gators Travel to Cincinnati to Continue Conference Play on Saturday

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The No. 5/5 Florida Lacrosse Team (12-2, 3-0 Big 12) travels up to Cincinnati to take on the Bearcats (8-7, 0-3) in Big 12 conference play on Saturday at noon.

The Gators enter this game after holding off Jacksonville 12-11 on Wednesday. UF was led by Frannie Hahn's five points (1 G/4 A) as Autumn Blair and Caroline Hoskins each registered a hat trick in the Gator's win.

Scouting the Bearcats
The Bearcats enter this game coming off a 10-5 loss to No. 15 Colorado. There were led by Paige Selhorn (1 G/3 A) and Lexie Wolfe (3 G/1 A) who each had four points on the day. Cincinnati also enters the game having lost four of their last five games. In these losses they haven't scored more than 10 goals, and only stopped one team from surpassing 10 goals.

On offense, Cincinnati is led by Paige Selhorn, who leads the team in points (88), goals (46), and assists (42). Selhorn is 6th in the nation is points per game (5.87), and 12th in assists per game (2.80)

The Bearcats turn to the tandem of Emma Mielke and Bella Kerr. Mielke leads the team in saves (66), save % (.465), as Bella Karr leads in minutes (462:01), having posted 62 saves and a save % of .422.

The Bearcats are led by Gina Thomas, who is in her 14th season as a head coach, all with Cincinnati. She currently holds a record of 99-129, and under Thomas, they have posted 10 or more wins three times and a program high 12 wins in 2019

Gators Extend Streak
The Gators 12-11 win over Jacksonville extended their win streak to nine games. This past game was the first game during this win streak that the Gators gave up more than 10 goals. This is the Gator's 10th consecutive season with a winning streak of at least nine games, excluding the 2020 season, and the 14th overall season with a winning streak of at least nine games.

Return of the Hahn
After a span of a couple games where R-Sophomore Frannie Hahn failed to register more than one goal and one assist, Hahn has exploded for 18 points in the past three games, which includes at least four assists in all three games. This is Hahn's most points in a three-game span in her career, and the most consecutive games with at least four assists in a row in her career.

Another Upcoming Milestone
After Head Coach Amanda O'Leary moved into sole possession of third place on the All-Time NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse wins leaderboard with her 434 win of her career, Senior Kaitlyn Davies is next Gator knocking on the doorstep of a milestone. Davies currently sits three points away from becoming the 28th player to join the Florida Lacrosse 100-point club. She would join Frannie Hahn and Clark Hamilton as Gators to reach the career 100-point club this season.

Florida currently holds a 34-0 record against teams currently in the Big 12. This includes going 3-0 so far in 2026, and 7-0 in regular season and postseason play in 2025.
This will be the 15^th meeting between Florida and Cincinnati, with the Gators having won the previous 14 matchups.
The Gators have averaged 19.29 goals in the 14 meetings against the Bearcats, and have only given up 5.14 goals per game. In 2022, the Bearcats scored 12 goals against the Gators, the most against Gators all-time.

The Gators' defense gave up more than five goals in the second half to Jacksonville, which is the first time this has happened since the 14-11 loss at Navy. The Gators were able to hold Jacksonville to five goals in first half, which includes one goal in the second quarter.
