Davidson, Notre Dame, West Virginia round out the field
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Women's Basketball Team is making its way to the Bahamas this November to take part in the fifth annual Battle 4 Atlantis. Joining the Gators are the Davidson Wildcats, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and the West Virginia Mountaineers.
Scheduled from Nov. 24-26, the Battle 4 Atlantis is set in the iconic Imperial Arena at Atlantis Paradise Island. Specific opponents, game times and television designations will be announced at a later date.
A match up against Note Dame would be the first-ever between the programs. The Fighting Irish finished the 2025-26 season with a 25-11 record, advancing to the NCAA Tournament Regional Final, and ranking ninth in the nation at season's end.
Florida and Davidson have met on just one prior occasion — a 55-50 Gators' victory on Dec. 29, 2019. The Wildcats are coming off a 21-12 campaign which marked the program's first 20-win season since 2012-13.
The Gators are 4-1 all-time against West Virginia, with all five meetings coming between 1991-2000. The Mountaineers have made the NCAA Tournament each of the last four seasons, advancing to the second round the last three years.
