AS A FRESHMAN (2017): Played sparingly as a true freshman, appearing in eight games with no starts…Went 1-for-7 at the plate with one RBI…First career hit and RBI came against USF on May 9, a RBI single…Also made one appearance on the mound as a freshman, giving up two runs in one inning.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Drafted in the 24th round by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2016 MLB First-Year Player Draft…Ranked as the No. 8 player in New Jersey and the No. 4 right-handed pitcher in the state by Perfect Game…In his high school career, he batted .412 with eight home runs and 83 runs scored; on the mound he had a 14-5 record with 129 strikeouts…Named the Big North Conference Player of the Year and First Team All-State as a senior by NJ.com…Named to the 2016 Rawlings-Perfect Game Preseason Northeast Region First Team…Led St. Joseph’s to a 25-4 record, Bergen County Tournament title and the North Jersey, Non-Public A final…As a senior, he finished with a 5-1 record and totaled 60 strikeouts in 36 innings…Batted .370 with two home runs and 28 run scored, mostly batting in the leadoff spot and playing second base…Named All-Tournament at the PG WWBA World Championships in Jupiter, Fla., playing with the Midland Redskins…Named to the Top Prospect Team at the PG National Showcase in Fort Myers…As a junior, hit .467 with three home runs, seven doubles and 36 runs scored…Did not pitch until his sophomore year of high school and went 7-1 with a 0.97 earned run average in his first season on the mound while leading his team to the Non-Public A title game…Helped lead Saint Joseph Regional H.S. win the New Jersey State Sectional Championship in 2014…Committed to Florida prior to his junior year of high school…Also played football in high school and was the starting safety on the varsity squad as a sophomore for a team that won the Non-Public Group 3 title…Grew up wanting to play football at Florida.
