AS A SENIOR (2018): Played in 59 games with 45 starts at catcher, 11 at first base and three at DH…Finished the year second on the team in batting average (.308) and slugging percentage (.575); third in RBI (48), on-base percentage (.384) and home runs (13)…Second on the team with 15 multi-RBI games and third with 19 multi-hit games, including a team-best six games with three RBI…Led the team with eight game-winning RBI on the season…Hit .302 in the SEC with six home runs and 24 RBI…In league games, ranked in the top 10 in slugging (8th, .575), runs (9th, 26), RBI (7th, 24) and doubles (8th, 9)…Reached 50 career home runs with a two-run shot in the College World Series against Texas Tech on June 21; it was also the Gators’ 100th home run of the season and Schwarz’s first career homer at the CWS…Had the game-winning RBI in three straight UF wins (twice at Tennessee, at Florida State)…Named the SEC Player of the Week after going 7-for-14 with two homers and six RBI against FSU and Missouri…Ended the regular season batting .325 before suffering a hand injury that held him out until the College World Series…Drafted in the eighth round of the 2018 MLB Draft by the Oakland A’s.

AS A JUNIOR (2017): Played in 69 games on the season, starting 44 at first base, 18 at catcher and seven at DH…Hit .259 on the season and led the team in at bats (259), runs scored (43), home runs (12), RBIs (56) and slugging percentage (.444)…Tied for eighth in the SEC with 12 home runs and ranked ninth with 56 RBIs…Led the team with 15 multiple RBI games, six more than the next player…Had 16 multi-hit games with a season-best hitting streak of 10 games…Had 18 two-out RBIs on the year, second on the team…Hit .314 in SEC play with a team-high 30 RBIs and six home runs, earning All-SEC Second Team honors…Had 10 RBIs in the NCAA Tournament, second on the team, with three home runs in postseason action…Carried the team through the middle of the season, hitting .321 (17-for-53) in April with four home runs and 14 RBIs, then improving in May to hit .353 (18-for-51) with three homers and 13 RBIs…Hit a grand slam on back-to-back weekends at Vanderbilt and against South Carolina...Selected in the 38th round of the 2017 MLB Draft by the Tampa Bay Rays but elected to return to school.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2016): In the follow-up to his stellar 2015 campaign, Schwarz appeared in and started all 68 games on the season, the only Gator to do so…He hit .290 (73-252) with 60 RBI and 47 runs scored…His 60 RBI tied for the team lead with Peter Alonso and ranked second in the Southeastern Conference…25 of his 73 extra base hits went for extra bases, including 7 home runs, 3 triples, and 15 doubles giving him a .456 slugging percentage, second on the team…Walked 45 times (3rd in the SEC) and struck out 54 times, good for an OBP of .397, second among Gator regulars…Went 2-for-4 on stolen base attempts…Hit .239 (28-117) during SEC play, with 19 RBI and 5 doubles…Blasted a grand slam in game three of the NCAA Tournament Super Regional against rival Florida State to extend the Gators’ lead to 6-0…Recorded 5 RBI in that same game, the most by any Gator in a game this season…Ranked third on the team in both multiple hit games (23) and multiple RBI games (15)…Hit .333 (7-21) in the SEC Tournament with 7 RBI in 5 games…Had 3 multi-hit games and 9 RBI in 8 games in the NCAA Tournament…Threw out 7 of 25 attempted base-stealers.

AS A FRESHMAN (2015): In addition to being named the Louisville Slugger Co-2015 Freshman Player of the Year and as the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Freshman Hitter of the Year, Schwarz attained All-American status from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), Baseball America, D1Baseball, the NCBWA and Perfect Game…He was also a consensus Freshman All-America selection…He and shortstop Richie Martin were the only Gators to start all 70 games…Schwarz had 41 starts at designated hitter and 29 behind the plate…Delivered a .332 batting average and led the Orange and Blue in RBI (73), homers (18), doubles (16), sacrifice flies (6) and slugging percentage (.629)…Was third in the country in RBI and finished fourth in homers…Tied for second on the club with 24 multiple-hit games and was the runner-up with 16 multiple-RBI games…Was named second-team All-SEC and to the league’s All-Freshman Team…During the Gators’ postseason, Schwarz hit a team-best .491 (28-for-57), with 23 runs, 19 RBI, five doubles and four homers in 15 games…Batted .474 (18-for-38) with 18 runs, 13 RBI, four homers and a pair of doubles in 10 NCAA Tournament contests and was 6-for-18 (.333) with eight runs and two RBI in the College World Series…Was 5-for-7 in the NCAA Gainesville Super Regional sweep of No. 10 Florida State, going 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI and a homer in Game 1 and 3-for-4, with three RBI, three runs and a pair of jacks in Game 2 to send the Orange and Blue to Omaha…Went 7-for-13 (.538) with six RBI, four runs and a couple of doubles in the three wins during the NCAA Gainesville Regional to be voted as the event’s Most Outstanding Player…Was selected as the Most Valuable Player of the SEC Tournament, when he hit .526 (10-for-19), with six RBI, five runs and three doubles, as Florida won its seventh title in program history…Had multiple hits in four of the five games and tied the semifinal matchup against No. 1 LSU with a run-scoring double in the eighth inning…Was 7-for-18 (.389) in the series triumph at No. 8 Vanderbilt, including a game-tying, two-out single in the ninth of the finale that forced extra innings…Chosen as the NCBWA National Hitter of the Week, the Louisville Slugger Player of the Week and as the SEC Player of the Week in mid-April after batting .529 (9-for-17) with 15 RBI, 12 runs scored and seven home runs as Florida captured all four games that week, including a sweep of No. 21 South Carolina…His seven-homer barrage surpassed the six homers Taylor Gushue had in 63 games in 2014 to lead the Gators…All nine of his hits went for extra-bases (seven homers, two doubles) and he recorded a slugging percentage of 1.882…Against the Gamecocks, Schwarz hit .364 (4-for-11) with a team-high seven runs, five RBI and three homers during the three wins…Belted a school-record four homers against Stetson, tying the SEC’s single-game mark set in 1982 by Kentucky’s Bill Sandry, and established a UF single-game mark with 18 total bases…Went 5-for-6 against the Hatters and totaled a career-high 10 RBI, second-most ever by a Gator, with a two-run homer in the second inning, a two-run blast in the third inning, a three-run jack in the fourth, a solo big fly in the seventh and a two-run double in the eighth…Named the SEC Freshman of the Week on March 2 after notching a .462 average during the Gators’ four victories…First career homer was a three-run shot in the second game of the campaign against Rhode Island.

SUMMER (2015): One of the four Gators on the 2015 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team, joining A.J. Puk, Buddy Reed and Logan Shore…Ranked as the No. 9 prospect on Team USA by Baseball America and was rated No. 15 by Perfect Game…Appeared in 11 games and made 10 starts…Belted a double and a no-doubt homer…Hit .118 (4-for-34) with two runs and a pair of walks…Had a two-hit game in a start against Chinese Taipei on June 26, ripping a double…Crushed a long bomb at Durham Bulls Athletic Park versus Cuba on July 2, sailing onto the roof of the Tobacco Road Restaurant beyond the 32-foot fence in left field.

HIGH SCHOOL: Catcher from Palm Beach Gardens High School who played for head coach Joe Russo…Chosen in the 17th round of the 2014 MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers with the 506th overall pick…Ranked No. 13 in the state of Florida and was No. 1 at catcher in the Class of 2014 Final Rankings from Perfect Game…Rated as the No. 5 catcher nationally by Perfect Game…Chosen First Team Palm Beach 8A-9 All-District after hitting .361 with 33 RBI, 15 runs, seven homers and four doubles…Also earned first-team All-North Conference recognition…Delivered three RBI as Palm Beach Gardens knocked off top-seeded Jupiter in the district championship game…Schwarz was a first-team Preseason All-American and was named to the Florida All-Region First Team by Rawlings/Perfect Game prior to his senior year…Batted .353 as a junior…Member of the 2013 USA 18-U National Team, along with Gator classmate Mike Rivera, which repeated as World Champions after winning the 18-U World Cup in Taichung, Taiwan...Hit. 333 (12-for-36) with nine RBI, five runs and three doubles…Went 5-for-5 with a pair of doubles against Japan.
