AS A SENIOR (2017): Played in 61 games with 50 starts in the outfield, batting .279 to rank third on the team…Hit .320 during the regular season, second-best on the team…Had a .416 slugging percentage on the season with nine doubles, a triple and five home runs while totaling 24 RBIs…Also stole seven bases…The only player on the team to have a four-hit game, and he did it twice, notching four hits against Tennessee and five at Vanderbilt…Second on the team with a .339 batting average in SEC play in 30 games…Had two games with four RBIs, hitting a grand slam against Ole Miss and collecting four RBIs at Alabama…Had a career-best, 10-game hit streak and 19-game streak of reaching base safely…Graduated in May with a degree in Advertising.
AS A JUNIOR (2016): Appeared in 59 games for the Gators, starting 20 (12 in LF and 8 in RF)…Hit .161 (14-87) with 7 RBI and 12 runs scored…Recorded 2 doubles, giving him a slugging percentage of .184…Walked 7 times to go along with 19 strikeouts, good for an OBP of .245…Went 2 for 4 on stolen base attempts…Committed 2 errors for a fielding percentage of .949…Recorded a 4-hit game on February 20 against Florida Gulf Coast, tied for the most by any Gator in a game this season…In that same game vs. FGCU, he scored or drove in 4 of the Gators 8 runs in an 8-4 win…Named to the 2016 SEC Academic Honor Roll.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2015): Enjoyed a solid season, batting .305 in 66 games and making 51 starts (47 in right field, four in left field)…Posted career highs across the board in average, runs (28), RBI (25), walks (24), stolen bases (7), doubles (5), homers (1) and triples (1)…Was 7-for-8 on the basepaths and matched Richie Martin for the team lead with seven sacrifice bunts…Ranked second on the Orange and Blue with a .330 clip in SEC play and had 12 RBI, 12 walks, 11 runs, four doubles and three thefts…Was 7-for-25 (.280) with five runs in 13 postseason games, including a .308 (4-for-13) showing during the NCAA College World Series…Scored twice and had an RBI fielder’s choice in the win over Virginia…Delivered an RBI single that scored Mike Rivera and scored during the 11-run, fourth-inning outburst against Miami (FL) to begin the CWS…Went 2-for-2 with an RBI single in the shutout of Florida A&M to kick off the NCAA Gainesville Regional…Came through with a key run-scoring single in the eighth inning of the finale at No. 8 Vanderbilt and was 2-for-5 in the victory that claimed the series…Had a pair of hits off of SEC Pitcher of the Year Carson Fulmer in the opener with the Commodores…Snapped a 4-4 tie in the sixth inning of the decisive third game at Georgia with a three-run double…Was second on the Gators with a .444 (4-for-9) performance against Kentucky…Led UF to a sweep of No. 21 South Carolina by going 6-for-9 (.667) with four runs…Went 3-for-5 in game three after scoring a career-high three runs in the second meeting with the Gamecocks…Paced the squad’s offense in the set versus Alabama with a .500 (6-for-12) effort that included four RBI, two doubles and a pair of runs…Stroked a couple of run-scoring singles and was 2-for-4 in the St. Patrick’s Day triumph over No. 11 Florida State…Tallied three RBI and three hits in the mid-week sweep of Fairfield…Belted first career homer and set a personal best by driving in four runs in the 22-3 win over Rhode Island…
AS A FRESHMAN (2014): Played in 48 games and made 24 starts in left field for the Gators…Batted .274 with nine runs, nine walks and seven RBI…Totaled four sacrifice hits and a pair of sacrifice flies…Boasted a perfect fielding percentage and a couple of assists…Hit .385 (10-for-26) in 23 SEC games, with seven starts…Scored four runs and had three RBI in league play…Career-long nine-game hitting streak ended in the NCAA Gainesville Regional against the College of Charleston…Was 1-for-3 and scored a run in the elimination game at the SEC Tournament against Kentucky…Went 3-for-4, scored twice and added an RBI single to help the Gators sweep No. 20 Alabama in Tuscaloosa…Came through with a two-out, walk-off single in the 10th inning and was 2-for-2 in the third win over Missouri…Singled, walked and scored a run during the 8-0 shutout of No. 1 Florida State in Tallahassee…Lofted a sacrifice fly in the 6-2 win over No. 4 LSU that clinched the series…Laid down a bunt single that scored Peter Alonso in the 4-0 win over FGCU…Had a pair of 2-for-4 outings in the series at No. 17 Miami (FL)…Started all three games in the season-opening series against Maryland and had a RBI fielder’s choice in his collegiate debut.
HIGH SCHOOL: Outfielder from Dr. Phillips High School who played for head coach Mike Bradley…Was named to Rawlings/Perfect Game Preseason Florida Region First Team prior to his senior year…Ranked No. 50 in the state of Florida, No. 11 among outfielders in the Class of 2013 Final Rankings from Perfect Game…Earned Honorable Mention All-Metro West Conference honors in ’13, when he batted .305…Dr. Phillips advanced to the regional quarterfinals and finished with an overall record of 20-8…Established a single-season school record with nine saves and sported a 0.00 earned run average…Belted a solo homer and stuck out the side in the final inning in a 3-1 victory over Trinity Prep…Helped the Panthers to a district championship and regional semifinal berth as a junior, when he hit .300…Named the Brighthouse Sports Player of the Week on May 8, 2012...DP made the regional final during Larson’s sophomore campaign, when he sported a .350 average.
