At Rend Lake: Earned nine NJCAA All-America honors in track in two seasons at Rend Lake College in Ina, Ill. … Finished second in the 800m at the 2005 NJCAA outdoor nationals … Won the 800m at the 2006 indoor nationals … Rend Lake Team finished second at the NJCAA Indoor Championship in 2005 and 2006 … Earned All-America honors for finishing second in the 4x800m relay at the 2006 national championship … Was a part of four school record breaking relays … Set school records in both the indoor (1:52.04) and outdoor (1:49.6) 800m school records … Finished fifth in the 800m at the 2005 US Junior Nationals in Carson City, Calif.
Prep: Ran track only one season and in that time, broke a 35-year school record and was named the team MVP … Coached by Gary Weshinsky … Four-year letter winner in cross country … Earned first team all-area and all-conference awards in track … Set the school record for the most points scored in a single season … Set the school record with a time of 1:54.6 in the 800m, a record which had stood since 1969 … Also lettered in basketball and baseball … Made the American Senior Legion All-Star team in baseball in 2004.
