1999-2000: Swam Florida's sixth best time of the season (4:31.87) in the 500y Free and seventh best time (1:40.42) in the 200y Free at the American Short Course Championships, where he finished fifth.
High School: 1999 graduate of Montgomery Bell Academy ... helped lead team to regional championships and third place state finishes in junior and senior years ... set school records in 200m Free and 200y Free ... won two events at 1999 Tennessee State meet (200y Free - 1:40.03 and 500y Free - 4:32.63), the former being a state record ... took first in two events at 1999 regional championships (200y Free - 1:44.07 and 100y Free - 47.64), both were region records ... voted Tennessee State High School Male Swimmer of the Year in 1999 ... also ran track and cross country at Montgomery Bell.
